KILKENNY County Council Arts Office is seeking submissions for the 11th issue of Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet.
The publication gives poets born or based in Kilkenny city and county a platform for their work. Each poem selected is included in the broadsheet, which in available for free throughout the county.
This issue of Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet will be edited by Heather Brett, a native of Newfoundland, Canada who was raised in Northern Ireland and has been living in the Republic for 25 years.
Heather began writing poetry in 1986 and won the Brendan Behan Memorial prize with her first book, Abigail Brown. Her two further collections to date include The Touch-Maker and most recently Green Monkey, Travelling. She has also edited over 30 anthologies, the next due in 2012.
The deadline for submissions to Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet is 4pm on March 4.
