They’re one of Ireland’s most successful musical acts and now The Stunning are Kilkenny bound.
It’s the group’s 25th anniversary yet despite their years in the business none of the members can remember ever having played Kilkenny. They’re going to rectify that this Saturday when they’ll take the Set Theatre by storm with all of the original members.
It’s an opportunity to see the group playing their classic album Paradise in the Picturehouse in its entirety. Released in 1990, the recording reached number one in the Irish album charts and stayed at the top for five weeks, going on to achieve multiplatinum status. It’s now been re-released due to demand.
You’ll find yourself singing along to tracks including Brewing Up A Storm, Half Past Two, Romeo’s on Fire, Heads are Gonna Roll and more.
Last July The Stunning attracted over 25,000 people in Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race. They’re currently on an Irish Christmas tour that also takes in Dublin, Cork, Castlebar, Donegal, Galway and a special show for the kids in the Barrettstown camp in Kildare.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost €22.
