Promising “magical theatre in magical surroundings”, Chapterhouse “is performing some of the best-loved stories of literature. We pride ourselves on producing accessible, traditional but innovative shows that have entertained thousands of theatre-goers throughout the UK and Ireland.”
This is the troupe’s 12th season of touring open-air theatre at country houses, castles and heritage sites.
Shakespeare’s romantic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream features flitting fairies, forest-bound lovers and raucous tradesmen. With music especially written for Shakespeare’s verse, lovely costumes and a splendid band of travelling players, it promises to be one of a fine evening entertainment.
