Catherine and the team at Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership are subsidising Off Peak Adult Swimming Sessions for 2012 in the Watershed at the reduced rate of €50 for 10 lessons. That’s just €5 a session for this excellent exercise. Classes take place on Wednesdays 9.30am, Beginners and Improvers classes are starting on January 11th.
Swim Lessons continue at 11am in The Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, Wednesdays and Fridays, €20 for 6 lessons. Aqua Aerobics takes place at 12pm Newpark and The Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, Tuesday and Thursdays, €20 for 6 lessons. If you would like to try some exercise of a different type and are interested in learning more about Tai Chi classes are on Wednesday morning at 11am in the Watershed, the cost is €20 for 5 classes.
Next Saturday 14th January Castlecomer Discovery Park is the venue for the hosting of Operation Transformation Kilkenny and all are welcome! The 2km walk will be followed by a demonstration of core strength exercise techniques. Workshops are free of charge but to confirm your place, please register with the office beforehand. The registration on the day starts at 10.30. Walk starts at 11am sharp and is followed by the workshops.

Hydrotherapy entails whole body exercises which take place in a warm water pool. It allows your muscles to relax and eases pain and stiffness, making it easier to exercise. This great exercise is suitable for people with limited mobility, post operative rehabilitation, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and conditions that result in limited mobility. Starting this Thursday 12th January 2012, 7pm in the Watershed, the cost is €10 per session.
