The search continues to capture Ireland’s ‘WILD SIDE’ for the TOP Photography Competition 2012. The annual competition is open to all amateur and aspiring photographers across the town and county. The closing date of May 31 is fast approaching and guest judge, award winning photographer Mark Condren, has a large volume of quality shots to go through.

The organisers are asking Kilkenny photographers to be creative in capturing the wild side of Ireland and so far they have not disappointed, with images of everything from wild waves in Skerries to raves at Electric Picnic. Winning is an amazing platform for recognition of amateur photographers and some previous winners, including Aedan Coffey form Kilkenny, have gone on to become professional photographers.

Twelve winning shots will be chosen by Mark to feature in the 2013 TOP Calendar, with one overall winner receiving a €1,000 voucher in addition to their photo becoming the top calendar cover shot. The 11 runners up will receive a €300 voucher. To enter the top photo competition, upload your entry on website www.topphotocompetition.ie To qualify, you must be over 18 and an amateur photographer, your pictures must have been taken in Ireland and not previously entered into the TOP Photo Competition. For more information about the competition, including some previous winning shots and full terms and conditions go to facebook.com/topphotocompetition.
