THE TUKOLO Choir will perform at the Christmas Market this Saturday at 3pm adding to the festive atmosphere on the Parade.
The Christmas market is open on December 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Other musical highlights include a performance by Soulful Spirit on Sunday at 3pm and by the Kilkenny Brass Banks on December 22 at 3pm.
Every Saturday and Sunday between now and Christmas there will also be Kids Christmas Karaoke when Mrs Claus will sing Christmas songs from 2pm and 4pm. The Glendinning Trio Singers will also perform each Saturday at 4pm.
For the month of December the Parade has been transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland with brightly decorated cabins housing a variety of traders selling a range of Christmas gifts, seasonal food and stocking fillers. Christmas gifts for sale include cashmere hats and scarves, jewellery, children’s handmade wooden toys, woodturned lamps, slate creations and Christmas decorations.
The Christmas Market is also taking part in the St Vincent De Paul Toy Appeal, where people can bring unwrapped and new presents to the collection point and toys will be distributed as part of the national campaign. The Nore Valley Mobile Farm will also be at the market on Saturday (December 15) from 11-4pm.
