ArtLinks, in association with the Arts Office of Kilkenny County Council has announced the names of those artists who have been successful in attaining mentoring supports under the ArtLinks programme for 2013.
Successful artists will have an opportunity to work with experts in their chosen art form, who will assist them in the professional development of their artistic practice. The successful candidates from Kilkenny are:
Liselott Olofsson, Visual Arts - Ceramics
Saidhbhín Gibson, Visual Arts
Caroline Schofield, Visual Arts
Patrick Griffin, Literature
Margaret Irish, Literature
Susan Keohane, Visual Arts
Breda Flanagan, Visual Arts
Trish Fox, Visual Arts & Dance
Victoria Cody, Multi-disciplinary Arts
Speaking earlier this week Mary Butler, Arts Officer, Kilkenny County Council stated: “Kilkenny Arts Office is delighted to be in a position to offer this mentoring support to local artists as part of the ArtLinks programme. We believe that this is an invaluable resource which will assist artists living and working in the county to develop themselves and their artistic practice. We look forward to watching their development and seeing the fruits of their artistic labour in the future.’
ArtLinks is a partnership of the four Local Authority Arts Offices in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford. It is supported by the Arts Council. ArtLinks provides professional development opportunities and supports for established and emerging artists.
