Theatre and concert goers will be relaxing in the sun this weekend at Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre.
With temperatures due to hit 23 degrees, the stunning outdoor auditorium will be soaked with sunshine, theatre and live music on Friday and Saturday night (July 12 and 13).
Friday night see’s the return of the magnificent Chapter House Theatre companies Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austin.
Bring a picnic, bring friends, bring the entire family to this wonderful production and follow the sisters as they find their path and lose their hearts under a beautiful summer sky in their quest to find the perfect balance of sense and sensibility.
The great Jack Lukeman returns to Kilmanagh on Saturday night with his full band. Jack brings his superb show ‘The 27 Club’. The show features the work of iconic singers such as Amy Winehouse, The Doors, Nirvana and many more artists who lost their lives at the untimely age of 27.
Organisers advise people planning to come early to arrive prepared. “We will have light refreshments on site, people are invited to bring a picnic. We are truly blessed with this glorious sunshine and are advising people who plan to come early to prepare for the hot weather,” said Matt Sullivan, Ballykeeffe.
The Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is located seven miles from the city centre.
From Kilkenny city past Kilcreene Hospital on your right and straight on through Ballycallan and the venue will be well signposted. From South Kilkenny and Clonmel turn left at the sign for Kilmanagh on the Callan bypass and at the end of the Callan bypass follow the R695 to the venue.
Tickets are on sale from Entertainment.ie, Rollercoaster Records, The Book Centre Kilkenny, Ticketmaster.ie and will be available from the venue on the night.
