Monday marked the official opening of the new Cat Laughs box office. Sponsored by Petmania, the new HQ is kitted out to be a one-stop festival shop, so be sure to drop in, or call the friendly staff and avail of the great ticket deals specifically tailored with local comedy lovers in mind.

The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival returns on the May 31 through to June 4. With a plethora of exciting acts taking to the stage across the city, it’s the perfect way to spend your bank-holiday weekend, chilling and chortling at any of the 37 shows happening across the city.

The festival box office will open its doors from April 23 to June 4, Monday–Friday from 10am-6pm with hours being extended closer to the festival weekend. Speaking at the launch, box office manager Lillian Bourke said the next few weeks would be a hive of activity counting down to the June Bank Holiday.

“We’re very excited about this year’s line up,” she said.

“I am especially looking forward to Pecha Kucha with David O’Doherty and seeing some of our regular funnymen like Neil Delamere and Des Bishop back in Kilkenny. I just hope they bring the sunshine with them.”

Also speaking at the official launch was Jane Russell, CEO for the festival:

“We’re very excited about our new location this year and hope that people will pop in and check out our great value deals specifically tailored for local comedy goers,” she said.

“So, we encourage people to come in and chat to our dedicated box office team and avail of these great savings.”

If you are from Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford, Wexford or Tipperary and plan to come to the Cat Laughs on Friday night, call into the box office and you’ll get any ticket for just €18 for the Friday line-up shows. All that is required is to head to the Box Office on John Street, and present identification with your local address. There are savings available of up to 15%, although this doesn’t apply to solo shows and you must have proof of billing address in the counties listed.
