The 23rd annual Rockfall Festival comes to Kilkenny this weekend, with music, comedy and other events taking place from Friday to the bank holiday Monday.

There will be gigs around the town, a busking competition and the usual ‘marathon gig’ for nine hours on the bank holiday in Kyteler’s courtyard.

As always, proceeds go to Enable Ireland at the O’Neill Centre, which provides free services to people with special needs. The O’Neill Centre provides day care, transport and therapy services for children 2-6 years old and outpatient therapy services for those aged up to 18.

The centre is funded by the Health Service Executive (HSE) but must also raise e170,000 a year to maintain its level of services.
