Following on from a hugely successful concert last weekend with the great Jack L, Orla Gartland and The Man Whom, Kilkenny’s stunning Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is gearing up for the venues biggest concert to date this weekend, with The Saw Doctors taking to the stage on Saturday.
The Kilkenny show is heading for a sell out and organisers are advising fans to purchase tickets immediately as the venue has limited capacity. “We we amazed by the response we received following the gig announcement. We are expecting our largest crowd to date on Saturday” stated a spokesperson for the amphitheatre.
The gates will open at 6pm on Saturday with The Thomas Donoghue Band taking to the stage at 6.40pm. Support act Strangeboats from Tuam will take to the stage at 7.30pm and will be followed by the main act The Saw Doctors at 8.30pm.
Organisers are asking people to get to the venue early. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. There is no alcohol allowed on site and there are no bar facilitirs. Tickets for the Kilkenny date can be purchased on ticketmaster.ie and usual local outlets in Kilkenny. Later this month, the venue will host the first ever concert with the beautiful Maria Doyle Kennedy, Liam O’ Maonlai & Ronan O’ Snodaigh on Saturday August 18.
