Ivor Novello and BBC Radio are among fans of Villagers, and Kilkenny-based people who are of the same mind-set can enjoy the band at the Set Theatre this Thursday.
The group began life as a nameless collection of musical poems, all under the pen of one Conor J. O’Brien.
The Waves, which is due for official release at the end of the month, is the first track to be released from the follow-up to their Mercury-nominated and Ivor Novello award-winning debut, Becoming a Jackal.
They’ve a range of gigs set for the UK and across northern Europe but local followers can enjoy their sounds this Thursday from 8pm.
