Try to have as many things done in advance as possible.
Have your turkey stuffed on Christmas eve, ham boiled-just ready to be glazed and all of the vegetables prepared.
If possible have the table set in the dining room on Christmas Eve or even before. As well as adding to the festive decor it will be one job less to do on Christmas morning.
You can make extra sweet chilli mayonnaise (from prawn cocktail recipe). It will be a great addition to your turkey and stuffing sandwich on Christmas night!
If you are cooking Brussels sprouts this Christmas add in some sautéed fresh cranberries and walnuts or even some smoked bacon and flaked almonds.
Feel free to have the ham boiled on Christmas eve and then just glaze it on Christmas morning.
