A major UK broadcaster is on the hunt for a family business to front a new reality show right here in Ireland. The show is looking to follow the lives of various members of a family both inside and outside the workplace.
Put together by production company Casting House, the programme hopes to promote and celebrate a local business and create a positive light for Irish business to a big audience. Sam Miles from Casting House says “We’re looking for a family with big personalities, who have a great business and enjoy a good craic to take part in the show”.
“Due to recent financial troubles, Irish business hasn’t got the best press of late, so we’re really keen to find a business in Ireland that is doing well and is a good news story for us to share”.
Casting House are open minded about what kind of business they feature. “We are thinking about a family from a rural or traditionally working class background, but we are looking for great characters who have a great story to tell, so we’re looking at a variety of different types of businesses”, Sam said.
The programme will follow daily life, showing the family relationships that make the business work, and feature life away from the business, capturing magic family moments and banter between siblings. “We want a big family with big hearts and big laughs”.
The show will not disrupt the running of a business. “We want to show the business and the family members as they are, and show the best attributes of both the business and the people working for it”.
