One of the newly renovated Tea Houses in Kilkenny
Kilkenny Arts Festival are delighted to announce that the two Tea Houses, situated by the River Nore in Kilkenny City, will be activated as visible spaces for public art programmes that invite local and national artists to respond to and engage with Kilkenny.
The Tea Houses have the possibility to be an infinite number of things: a gallery, a curatorial office, a studio, a residency, a gathering, a garden, a music session, a meeting place, a library and more.

This evolving public art programme will create a sustained multidisciplinary approach that encourages a sense of community and active citizenship.
This project was initiated by the Kilkenny Arts Office and the Town Regeneration Office, and is kindly funded by Kilkenny County Council Arts Office and the Arts Council of Ireland.
