An award-winning musical comedy group have released a catchy tune based around the story of Dame Alice Kyteler, one of Kilkenny's most well known historical figures.
The Sugarcoated Sisters (@thesugarcoatedsisters on Instagram) are 'celebrating the witches of history this Halloween'.
The timing couldn't be any more apt, as this year marks the 700th anniversary of the witch trial of Dame Alice Kyteler, and Kilkenny is hosting many special events to mark this dark chapter in the city's history.

The song and its fun-filled video has won the approval of Kyteler's Inn in Kilkenny, who have reshared the video and commented: "We. Love. This"
The video has already received 166,495 likes on Instagram, and has brought some of Dame Alice Kyteler's story and the hisory of Kilkenny to an entire new audience.
