Barnstorm Theatre Company is inviting young people aged 16 to 24 to audition for its upcoming summer production Home, written by Kilkenny-born playwright Anna Ní Dhúill.
Set against a Kilkenny backdrop, Home explores the emotional journey of 18-year-old Eimear as she prepares to leave her friends and familiar surroundings for a new life in Berlin.
The production is described as an ensemble piece with multiple roles available and will be brought to life by a cast of local young people supported by Barnstorm’s professional team.

The play is the latest outcome of Barnstorm’s Triptych Project, which supports emerging writers.
Following a successful work-in-progress showing last year, the company is set to present the fully staged version in collaboration with AKA this August.
Auditions will be held on Tuesday 25 and Friday 28 June at Barnstorm Studio, 3 John’s Quay, Kilkenny City.
