Shrughawadda Players will proudly present  the famous Irish play `The Field` by J.B.Keane in St Eoghan`s Centre, Kilmoganny later month.

The group of stalwart local actors will bring the iconic play to life on the stage from next Wednesday (February 11) to Saturday (February 14) at 8pm nightly.

This is a compelling and masterful piece of writing by J.B. Keane.

Set in the west of Ireland in the 1960s ,the play explores themes of land ownership, legacy, pride in place and identity through  the figure of the ‘Bull McCabe’ played masterfully by Pete Dunne.

For Bull, the land is more than property - i t is memory ,history and survival itself especially after centuries of dispossession under British rule.
