Runners of all ages will be hitting the road and heading to Danesfort for the sixth offering of the Mile Marker in June.
The road race, which will be held on Sunday, June 8, has been a hugely popular charity race since its inception in 2018, welcoming many athletes from all over the county and country.
The Mile Marker has a distance to suit all, offering a 5km, 5 mile and 10 mile race. All athletes get a technical top as part of their race entry.
And young runners haven’t been left out. The ever popular ‘Mile Dash’ is back for primary school children and families, with all children crossing the line to a medal and an ice cream from Billy Brennan’s ice cream van.

The Mile Marker committee, made up of parents from St Michael’s NS, Danesfort have been working tirelessly over the last number of months. They are thrilled to welcome Philip Ireland Tyres Ltd - who has supported the race since its inaugural event - back as their main sponsor again this year.
This promises to be a great day out for the whole family. All money raised goes directly to St Michael’s NS in Danesfort.
The day gets underway with the Mile Dash at 11.40, while the main event begins at 12 noon, the 10 mile event taking on two laps of the course. People can register online here
