It's not often that the great DJ Carey is beaten playing golf. The legendary hurler and current Under 21 Kilkenny hurling manager suffered a rare defeat at Kilkenny Golf Club on Tuesday - and his playing partner is considered the best young golfer in Europe! It was all in a good cause.

Tony Murphy won the opportunity to play with with Jimmy Bolger, Kilkenny Golf Club Professional against  Mark Power, +5 golfer and DJ having won the Chernobyl Kilkenny Outreach Group's raffle. He also won four green fees for Glasson, Dundrum and Rathsallagh. The fourball was a tightly contested match and was won on the 18th by Tony and Jimmy.  Tony said it was a very enjoyable occasion and the golf was great with 11 birdies between him and Jimmy.
