Ben the three-legged labrador handed into shelter in Kilkenny - can you help him find a home?
Earlier today, Ben's world fell apart.
He was given into Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter as his owners have had a baby and don’t have time for him anymore.
He is just 16 months old but when he was seven months old poor Ben was hit by a car which resulted in damage to his leg which unfortunately ended up being amputated.
"We are now looking for a forever home for him," the shelter posted on social media.
"Despite him only having three legs he is very jumpy so not suitable for young kids.
"He lived as an only dog but may get along fine with a female dog for company.
"He is strong on the lead and would need someone to put some effort into training him.
"He is a typical friendly lab and although very stressed in kennels he is loving the attention."
