There are more employers looking for staff than people currently looking for jobs in Ireland, with the Irish head of LinkedIn describing the labour market as "very tight right now".
Sharon McCooey told the Pat Kenny Show on News Talk that 60 per cent of employees are considering changing jobs this year.
She said this might not necessarily mean staff leaving the company they are working for, however, as they might be looking to secure a promotion or a new position. Others may be considering leaving their existing company, though, or even changing countries.
"All the way through 2022, there were more employers looking for people than there were people looking for jobs," Ms McCooey said.
"So, the labour market is very tight right now," she added.
"Our labour market will tell you right now that there are more jobs out there than there are people looking... and that is positive year-over-year".
Another 20,000 people is needed in the green economy by 2030, "so huge opportunities there" Ms McCooey said.
There are opportunities for those with niche skills including cyber security and crypto currency.
People may already have six out of the 10 skills needed for these roles and Ms McCooey said they are providing free training courses on line to help people add the required skills to secure these jobs.
