From today, people in Kilkenny will be able to book a taxi through Uber, making it the latest city Uber has launched in Ireland.
To celebrate, riders can save up to €20 off their next two rides between August 30 and September 10, 2023.
Riders in Kilkenny can use the Uber app to book a taxi trip at the click of a button.
Drivers using Uber are fully licensed taxi drivers.
Kieran Harte, General Manager of Uber in Ireland, said the company 'are extremely proud' to launch Uber in Kilkenny 'where we have been seeing increased demand for our services'.
"Expanding Uber to the city will help maximise earnings opportunities for drivers while giving passengers more choice, meaning that everyone will benefit," he said.
Customers can select a destination and pay through a single user-friendly app.
