Network Ireland Kilkenny will host the annual regional finals for the Businesswoman of the Year Awards this Friday, June 14, in Set Theatre at Langton House Hotel.

The awards are sponsored by Kilkenny Local Enterprise Office and AIB. The Businesswoman of the Year Awards were established to recognise the achievement of those who are successful in their careers, passionate about their businesses and meet the unique challenges of balancing busy careers with family, community and self-care.

Following a rigorous application process which asked the nominees to share their financial position and forecast, future planning, career milestones and personal development, and strategic approach to remaining a step ahead in business, the applications went for panel review by representatives from the local business community, AIB and LEO.

Network Ireland Kilkenny received a record number of applications to this year’s award scheme. Some 21 local businesswomen have been shortlisted in five categories. The categories are Emerging Businesswomen, Established Businesswomen, Creative Professional of the Year, Employee – Shining Star and Solo Businesswoman.

The regional winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday, June 14 at the Set Theatre. Tickets to the event are available from www.networkireland.ie all are welcome to attend.

“This year’s finalists are fantastic people with brilliant, unique businesses and roles in employment. I want to wish the finalists all the best for Friday.”
