Kilkenny job opportunities to grow by 15% in 202524

FRS Recruitment, one of Ireland's leading recruitment agencies, has forecast a 15% increase in job opportunities in Kilkenny this year. There is also set to be a 10% increase in recruitment for Ireland as a whole.

Healthcare, commercial, engineering, and life sciences are the sectors where the most growth is expected in Kilkenny. Job openings are anticipated for nurses, healthcare assistants, administrators, social care personnel, warehouse operatives or supervisors as well as other positions.

Lynne McCormack, General Manager of FRS Recruitment said, “We certainly think there will be an increase in recruitment opportunities coming to market in Kilkenny and around the country this year.  There is more optimism in the market from employers and candidates alike. We saw this start to come through at the end of 2024 and our full expectation is that will continue locally and nationally throughout 2025."

The expectation of an increase in job opportunities locally and nationally will likely have a positive effect on recruitment across the economy in 2025. These effects could include a reduction in interest rates, the recovery of the IT sector, and the removal of the public sector hiring freeze in healthcare.
