Goatsbridge Trout Farm from Thomastown, Kilkenny, was awarded Best Environmentally Sustainable Food Product at the Irish Foodservice Supplier Awards (IFSA Awards) on day one at CATEX - Ireland’s largest foodservice and hospitality exhibition.

Awarded last week, the IFSA Awards are aimed at acknowledging sustainability within foodservice products and service innovation. The theme for 2025 centred around ‘Environmental Sustainability and the Circular Economy’ with the awards shining a light on suppliers that are at the forefront of helping to shape a greener, more efficient future for the sector.

Founded in 1962, Goatsbridge Trout Farm won for its Eat Trout for Hot Smoked Fillets.

A real celebration of skills, service, excellence and innovation within the foodservice and hospitality industries, this year’s CATEX exhibition, was a resounding success which housed culinary competitions, tea and coffee experts, artisan producers and some of the biggest names in foodservice, alongside business clinics, all under one roof to highlight the very best that Ireland has to offer.
