The Gourmet Store in Kilkenny City bid farewell to one of its most loved employees this week, as Emily, a familiar face known to many locals during the weekday lunch rush or to those dropping in for a coffee after a leisurely stroll, departs for pastures new in Australia.
"Today we said goodbye to Emily, as she sets off on a new adventure," a post to the Gourmet Store social media page said.
"Thanks for all the laughs, chats, home baked treats, we have so many fond memories.
"Wishing you all the very best in the land of Oz," the post concluded.
