One of Kilkenny's leading businesses has been named as a finalist in the 2025 Business and Finance ESG Awards, in association with Grant Thornton, recognising outstanding efforts in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.
Farm Fayre has been announced as a finalist in the Sustainable Logistics Excellence Award category. This innovative business created a farmer-to-farmer platform that discards the unnecessary third parties, and their self-interests, but instead, keeps things plain, simple and honest.
The genius initiative has been recognised for its contributions to carbon emissions reduction, animal welfare, and agricultural sustainability.
The winners will be revealed at a special luncheon awards ceremony at 12pm on Thursday, April 10, in the Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin.
The Business and Finance ESG Awards celebrate companies that are driving real change through innovative policies, technology solutions, and sustainable business practices.
This year saw a record number of entries, with Biodiversity Leadership in Business and Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Initiative emerging as the most competitive categories.
The prestigious ESG Leader Award will be presented to Mary Robinson, recognising her tireless dedication to sustainability, climate justice, and social equity on both a national and global scale.
Tracey Carney, Managing Director, Business and Finance, said, “The calibre of entries for the 2025 Business and Finance ESG Awards reflects the remarkable strides taken by organisations across Ireland in integrating sustainability at the core of their business strategies. We are seeing a significant shift towards collective responsibility, where entire teams are driving change and delivering measurable ESG impact. The finalists announced today demonstrate how ESG principles are shaping the future of responsible business.”
Amanda Ward, Partner and Co-Head of Consulting at Grant Thornton reflected, “This year’s finalists exemplify the transformative power of embedding ESG into business strategy—not simply as an obligation, but as a pathway to innovation, growth, and resilience. At Grant Thornton, we understand that meaningful ESG initiatives require bold vision combined with practical solutions. We are proud to recognise the finalists who are setting new standards for sustainable business practices, inspiring organisations across Ireland to drive measurable change and secure a prosperous, sustainable future for all.”
