Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 5th inter company golf challenge in the magnificent setting of Mount Juliet.
The event will take place on Tuesday, June 12 with a shot gun start at 2.30pm. Following the golf there will be a sumptuous BBQ for the players and guests.
All eyes will then be focused on the announcement of the winning teams. John Purcell, Chamber President, said it was a great opportunity for businesses and individuals to network and enjoy an afternoon playing the course which has played host to the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Tom Watson and Greg Norman to name but a few”.
William Kirby, GM Mount Juliet added “Mount Juliet is delighted to host the Kilkenny Chamber Inter Company Golf Challenge again this year. The Jack Nicklaus designed Mount Juliet course, currently ranked the No. 1 Parkland Course in Ireland by Backspin Magazine. Mount Juliet has been the venue for the Irish Open in ’93, ’94 and 1995. Also two WGC Amex events were held here in 2002 and 2004. We hope the above has set the scene for the Golf Day here at Mount Juliet and we look forward to seeing you on the 12th June at 2.30pm.”
Officially launching the Challenge Michael Fennelly Hurler of the Year 2011 admired the wonderful course in Mount Juliet and encouraged companies and individuals to get involved. “Sport and business are strongly linked especially in Kilkenny and I anticipate a lot of companies will become involved in the Challenge this year. Team work is very important in business today and what better way to enhance team relationships or invite your clients to enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Mount Juliet. It also offers an opportunity to bring additional guests to the BBQ”.
The cost to play is exceptionally reasonable at only €75.00 per person including BBQ. Chamber is advising people to book early to avoid disappointment. “We are interested in inviting sponsors on board for this event and there are many opportunities to have your company associated with the event. Just give us a call on 056-7752767 or email firstname.lastname@example.org we look forward to hearing from you” Alison McGrath, Chief Executive Officer, Kilkenny Chamber.
