Much loved Kilkenny couple receive Lifetime Achievement Award

The two leading lights of a Kilkenny business Gerry and Mary O'Brien were rewarded for their 'outstanding contribution to Butchery, Food & Farming' by the CraftButchers of Ireland earlier this week.

Gerry operated O’Brien Butchers at the Market Yard in Kilkenny City, which closed its doors for the final time in September.

Gerry’s son James continues to operate the other O’Brien Butchers unit in Loughboy.
