The sale of Kilkenny Gift Vouchers almost trebled in 2015 - to almost €90,000 in circulation and that's money that can only be spent in over 150 shops in Kilkenny.
In a statement, John Hurley CEO of Kilkenny Chamber said “This is indeed a tremendous result and is another example of the huge difference that can be made by the people and businesses of Kilkenny engaging with the Chamber and supporting local enterprise. Our thanks to the many businesses and shoppers who got on board and helped produce this fantastic result”.
The Kilkenny Gift Voucher, like others benefitted from the increase in tax relief, from €250 to €500 tax free and that impact, plus a strong marketing campaign, worked.
