South-East Cleaning Company, McCreery Contract Cleaning, has seen a 15 per cent increase in contract cleaning for businesses over the past six months and a significant surge in demand for home cleaning services.
Headquartered in Kilkenny, McCreery Contract Cleaning currently employs a team of 65, having created 10 new positions in the past six months.
Latest figures released found that women spend 40 per cent more time on unpaid chores than men at home. This equates to men averaging 16 hours a week on housework compared with 26 hours by women. “Business from companies and private homes has increased substantially in the past year. Our home cleaning division was completely booked this Christmas and bookings are very strong for the traditional ‘spring clean’ in January and February” said Jennifer McCreery, founder of McCreery Contract Cleaning.
“Time is precious and more and more people see the value in having their homes cleaned. This frees up quality time to spend with family, friends and taking a break from work. Many customers come to us as they know we have a discreet, trusted team, fully trained and insured. For me, there is nothing like coming home to a beautifully clean home. It’s like a fairy has been in with a magic wand and I can get on with living.”
A bespoke cleaning plan is created with each customer including a wide range of services from an initial ‘deep clean’, perfect for the annual spring clean, to regular maintenance cleaning including ovens, carpets, windows and bathrooms. ‘Deep cleans’ are recommended at least twice a year with a dedicated maintenance service providing specialist cleaners each week or fortnight.
Due to increasing demand, the company have recently added new services including ironing, gardening, and a recommended network of professional service providers, such as electricians and plumbers. They only use environmentally friendly products safe for children, pets and people with allergies.
McCreery Contract Cleaning provides a range of professional cleaning services to over 80 domestic and corporate customers across the South-East, including offices, schools, restaurants, banks, clinics, hospitals and hotels. Staff are Garda vetted and fully trained to the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) standards. The company is the only accredited provider of this training in the South-East.
