Artist Sinéad Fahey's stunning mural, in the centre of Callan, was launched to great fanfare, last Friday.
Created as part of the Wayfinders project in the town, the mural is set to become a landmark for the community.
Sinéad developed her artistic skills during two years on the KCAT Art Course before progressing to the Studio. Over the years she has developed her own distinctive style. This was brought vividly to life through her co-designing of The Big River parade, working in conjunction with Macnas, Galway. Sinéad has travelled to Belgium, Holland and Japan for residencies and exhibitions.
Working with the Wayfinders project, Sinéad designed a mural to reflect its ideas. Wayfinders is an arts participation project that considers 'wayfinding' to explore sustainability, connection and biocultural diversity on Bridge Street, in Callan. Wayfinders is curated by Etaoin Holahan of Callan and produced by Áit Productions.
