In the two years since responding to their first call, the Callan Cardiac First Responders have responded to 100 emergency calls within a 5km radius of the town.

The group respond to cardiac arrest, chest pain and stroke calls and are a vital link in the chain of survival until the emergency services arrive. Callan CFR have trained over 175 people in the community how to perform effective CPR and use of an AED this year alone, raising awareness of cardiac arrests is crucial.
