 Kilkenny town to host a walk to remember significant Irish event

The annual Famine Walk from Callan Workhouse to Cherryfield Cemetery will be held on Friday, July 19.

The meeting place for the start of the walk is at the gates of the Kilkenny County Offices, the Masters House just beside the Workhouse, at 7pm for a brief talk on the Workhouse.

The walk will then proceed to Cherryfield on foot, some people may wish to park along the way. At Cherryfield, there will be some music, a poem and a few prayers and will finish with a reflection. All are welcome.
