Plans for a new Aldi store in Castlecomer have taken a step closer.
Earlier this year, it was announced the German based store was set to open its doors in the North Kilkenny town, with works due to begin shortly.
The store will be located on the Old Creamery site in the heart of Castlecomer and is expected to create 25 new permanent jobs.
Construction will begin in four weeks time and locals can expect the supermarket to open its doors in September 2024.
