A much anticipated talk on the history of the Kilkenny Railway takes place this week...

Following a packed house at the Cave Bar, the second in a series of talks on the history of the Kilkenny Railway will be held in The Community Hall, Castlecomer on Tuesday at 8pm.

Presented by Donie Butler, Kilkenny railway historian, in conjunction with Fassadinin Historical Society, the lecture will focus on the Railway to Castlecomer and terminus at the Deerpark mining complex.

The lecture will also include a spotted history on the railway in Kilkenny and Ireland. Admission is free, with a friendly cuppa and a chat awaiting all after the talk. Further info from Donie Butler, tel 087-3156359.
