A CGI rendering submitted in the original application to Kilkenny County Council
Plans have been approved for a residential development at the former Glanbia site just off High Street in Castlecomer, County Kilkenny.
The granting of permission for this development is on foot of the granting of planning for a mixed-use development on the balance of the site (including new Aldi outlet).
The development is to consist of the construction of 35 residential units including six one-bedroom apartments, five two-bedroom apartments, 21 three-bedroom duplex apartments and three two-storey terraced houses.

Public open space is provided as permitted under Planning Ref. 20/112 (ABP Ref: ABP-309626-21) as is vehicular access onto High Street and the Ballinakill Road.
A further pedestrian and bicycle access will be provided as part of this application from Love Lane.
Permission was granted by Kilkenny County Council, subject to 31 conditions, on September 23, 2024.
