Nighttime water restrictions lifted in Castlecomer

Nighttime water restrictions in Castlecomer and the surrounding areas have been lifted.

Uisce Éireann will continue to monitor water levels and ensure that customers are updated should any further restrictions be required.

The restrictions were necessary due to low water levels in the reservoir and to protect the daytime supply.

Shane Aylward of Uisce Éireann said: “The night-time restrictions were necessary to give the reservoir time to replenish and allowed us to maintain water supply to homes and businesses during daytime hours. We understand the inconvenience that restrictions had on our customers, and we want to thank the community for their patience.”
