Ann O'Neill radiated kindness, generosity and care for everyone

Rest in Peace

The death has occurred of Anne O'Neill (née Brennan), Hillside View, Castlecomer. She went to her eternal reward in the company of those nearest and dearest to her, on December 7, 2018.

Synonymous with the District Hospital where she gave so many years of loyal and dedicated service, it was almost like her second home and it was most appropriate to see past and present members of the staff accompany the cortege on its final journey to the church.

Witty and jovial Ann radiated kindness, generosity and care for everyone whether at work, socialising or in the extended family circle.

Her home was her castle and her culinary skills legendary while she was the life and soul of family celebrations. The huge turnout at the obsequies was testimony of the high regard in which the family are held in the area.

She was laid to rest in the Parish Cemetery after Con-celebrated Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception by Msgr. Michael Ryan P.P. Castlecomer (Chief Celebrant) assisted by Fr. Tom Corcoran P.P. Clogh ; Fr. John Dunphy P.P. Graiguecullen ; Fr. Denis Murphy P.P. Doonane Fr. Liam Shore Bowdens Court, Castlecomer ; Fr. Christopher OFM CAP Carlow ; Brother Philip OFM CAP Carlow. She is survived by her husband James ; sons Patrick, Michael, Seamus and Adrian ; daughters Mary and Catrina ; son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchild, sisters Patricia, Mena, Margaret, Sheila, Geraldine ; brothers Frank, Paddy, Tom, Ben, Kenneth ; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
