A Cat's Christmas Tale

The festive season will soon arrive at the Medieval Mile Museum and with events from storytelling for children to hands-on workshops and Christmas carols, there’s something for all the family.

Festive Wreath Making

December 4 and 7 - 13:00, 14:30, 16:00 and 18:30

A creative, hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own beautiful seasonal wreath using traditional foliage and festive decorations supplied by Festina Lente Gardens. Whether you’re bringing your family, a friend or simply looking for a relaxing holiday project, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to make something personal and unique for the season.

  • Thursday, December 4: Adults workshop - 18:30 - €40 per wreath
  • Sunday, December 7: Family workshops - 13:00, 14:30 and 16:00 - €40 (up to four people/ one wreath per family)

This event requires booking as spaces are limited.

Christmas Carols with Lady Desart Choir

Saturday, December 6 - 15:00

Join the Lady Desart Choir for a beautiful afternoon of music filled with traditional carols, contemporary festive favourites and the warm, historic atmosphere of St Mary’s Church.

This event is free and no booking is required.

A Cat’s Christmas Tale

December 7, 14, 21 and 22 - 12:30 and 16:00

This Christmas season, the Medieval Mile Museum will be filled with magic, laughter and a hint of mischief as A Cat’s Christmas Tale takes the stage, a brand-new puppet show created especially for Yulefest that brings local legend to life.

Reimagining the tale of Alice Kyteler and her clever cat Malice, this performance combines mystery, mischief and Christmas spirit in equal measure. Told through beautiful puppetry, engaging storytelling and festive sparkle, it’s a treat for children and grown-ups alike.

Tickets: €5 per child

Suitable for children 3-10 years, limited availability.
