The KSP Winter Fayre will take place next weekend

Starting this weekend, communities across the county will come together to start getting ready for Christmas while supporting their local crafts people and food producers.


Many towns and villages are even expecting a special visitor from the North Pole!


Kilkenny City
KSP NS - Kilkenny School Project NS will be taken over by parents and school staff and turned into a fun filled festival space for the annual Winter Fayre, on Sunday, December 7, 12pm to 2pm.


It is eagerly anticipated by the children, who look forward to the fun activities and festivities. The event also serves as a significant fundraiser, with proceeds going directly to the school.


This fayre will have traditional crafts, handmade gifts and ornaments, family activities, games, a cafe, wreaths, kids’ cookie decorating, a wheel of fortune, a disco - even the man in red is expected to make an appearance!

Yulefest Christmas Market - On The Parade every weekend from Saturday, November 29. Charming wooden huts seasonal treats, and locally made gifts.

Callan
Steiner School, Ballytobin - Advent Fair on Saturday, December 6, from 12pm to 4pm. Handmade crafts, candle dipping, magical puppet theatre.


L’Arche Kilkenny Christmas Fair - Sunday, November 30, at L’Arche, Green Lane. Christmas carols, baked goods, cards, gifts, refreshments and a visit from Santy. (Please note: cash only).

Visit Callan annual Christmas Market - Sunday, December 14, from 11.30am.

Fennelly’s Christmas Market - Saturday, December 13, from 12pm to 6pm. Trad session from 5pm. Local crafts, vintage clothes, bespoke prints and honey.

Thomastown
Scout Den - Christmas Market on Sunday, November 30, from 12pm to 5pm. At 5pm the Parade of Light will leave the Scout Den for Thomastown Community Centre and arrival of Santa.

Christmas Craft Fair - Saturday, December 6. Pick up some beautiful, handmade Christmas presents. Community Centre, from 11am to 5pm.


Graignamanagh
A Christmas Market takes place this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, in Graignamanagh Hall, from 10am to 5pm each day. Almost 30 stalls included with local crafts, bakes and gifts.

Windgap
Christmas Craft Fair - Windgap Community Hall on Saturday, December 6, from 10am to 3pm. Locally made arts and crafts.

Ballyragget
Ballyragget Yulefest committee - annual Christmas Market and lighting of The Square on Saturday, December 6. Crafts and homemade goods to purchase in the Community Hall from 2pm. Santa will visit from 3.30pm.

Clogh
Clogh Community Council invites all to the lighting of the Christmas tree on Friday, November 28, at 7pm. The event will include Santa, mulled wine and hot chocolate.

Paulstown
The Christmas festival from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, December 7, in Paulstown Community Hall.

Gathabawn
Sunday, November 30, will see Santa come to Gathabawn to turn on the village lights at the request of the Parents Council of the National School.

Castlecomer
Festival of Light Sunday, December 7, from 5pm. Switching on of the village lights and visit from Santa.

Stoneyford
Christmas craft and food fair at the Community Centre, 12.30pm to 4.30pm, Sunday, November 30. Local enterprises including jewellery, homemade baking, walking sticks, and Christmas decorations. Christmas café will be open and Santa will be there!
