A male has appeared in court in relation to the incident
Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating an alleged aggravated burglary incident that occurred on Friday evening at a residence in Kilkenny.
It is understood that the victims, both adult males, were subjected to a violent assault and robbery in their home in Kilkenny City.
A juvenile was subsequently arrested and detained at Kilkenny Garda Station following this incident. He has since been charged and appeared before Kilkenny District Court in relation to the matter. He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before the court at a later date.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone that may have been in information regarding this incident or road users with possible dash-cam footage to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000 or the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
