An investigation is underway
Gardaí are appealing for information following an incident in Dunamaggin on Thursday night where a man and woman called to the house of an elderly couple and allegedly took a sum of cash.
The man and woman were not known to the couple but came into their home. It is understood that no threats were made and no one was injured during the incident.
When the man and woman left two wallets containing cash were noticed missing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious persons in the area or anyone who had suspicious callers to their homes to contact local Garda Station.
