Gardaí have issued a local alert following an increase in thefts from cars over the last number of weeks in areas of Kilkenny.
"We would encourage you to be vigilant when leaving your vehicles and ensure they are locked and secured," a garda spokesperson said.
"If you store work tools in the vehicle consider enhancing the locks and car alarm. It may also be an option to add an alarm sensors from your home if your vehicle contains valuable items and is parked close to your house.
"If you have noticed any suspicious activity recorded on your video doorbell or CCTV please contact your local garda station."
