Gardaí in Kilkenny are appealing to the public for assistance following a robbery in broad daylight in the city centre last Saturday.
The shocking incident happened at the Canal Walk between 3pm and 4pm when a male youth was assaulted by a group of seven or eight other youths.
The youngster was injured and attended at St Luke's Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries. Jewellery and cash was stolen.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and investigations are ongoing.
