Two gardaí from the community engagement unit in Kilkenny were recently made aware of a 'scary' scam after being approached by 'a lovely lady'.
"She was very distressed after receiving a scam call with a Belgian +32 area code," a garda spokesperson said.

"The voice said she was suspected of drug dealing. Just a scam but scary for someone who's a bit anxious.
"Keep an eye on those close. We spoke to the lady's daughter who she'd also called."
