Gardaí in Kilkenny have issued a warning to local drivers who drive over hatch markings (which they have referred to as 'no go' zones) to overtake.
"Using those stripy lines of a hatch marking to make an overtake is a badly hatched plan," a garda spokesperson said after stopping two motorists recently for the offence.
"The drivers of this BMW and Mercedes (pictures above - click '>' or 'NEXT' for next pic) received fixed charge notices for their troubles.
