Kilkenny garda strategy pays off as motorists found committing slew of offences

Roads Policing Unit in Kilkenny detect multiple offences as gardaí 'divide and conquer'

A recent strategy from gardaí in Kilkenny to 'divide and conquer' paid off as a number of motorists were detected committing various offences across Kilkenny on Monday.

"Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit [were] out and about this (Monday) evening on two wheels and four," a garda spokesperson said.

"One driver [was] arrested for drug driving, another unaccompanied learner [was] uninsured in a courtesy car from a garage."

Gardaí also detected 'a driver texting his way down High Street' and stated that it was likely for 'more to follow'.
