Kilkenny Courthouse
A Kilkenny man has been charged with 14 counts of deception and three counts of money laundering, at the local district court.
Niall Minogue, Woodsgift, Co Kilkenny, will face a total of 17 charges.
Before Judge Cephas Power, at Kilkenny District Court, Sergeant Morgan O’Connor said the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed prosecution on indictment.

The 14 charges of making gain or causing loss by deception are made under Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, while the three money laundering offences were brought under Section 7 of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act.
Solicitor Chris Hogan applied for legal aid, which was granted.
The matter was adjourned.
